Obituary for Armenter Beatrice Cox

Armenter Beatrice Cox, a resident of San Antonio, Texas passed away on August 15, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 79 years old. Armenter was born July 4, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas to Mary Esther and Lemon Randle. Armenter grew up in a loving household with seven siblings. In their household Armenter showed interest in taking on a caring role to her younger sibling. Her younger sister (Gloria) recalls how Armenter would ensure that her clothes were ironed and hair combed for school.
Armenter was a graduate of Phillis Wheatley High School class of 1957. She united in holy matrimony with Ned Cox Jr. and to this union they had two children. She worked for Texas Pharmaceutical Company and upon leaving employment with the company, positively touched the lives of many children by caring for them in her home while their parents worked. Armenter’s interests and talents included babysitting, cooking, fashion, and enjoying time with her family. Armenter’s talents were many but what was so profound about her was that she was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family. She was an active member of Agape Christian Church where she was a member of the choir, Women of Wisdom (WOW), and regularly attended Bible study.
Preceded in death by Armenter are her husband Ned Cox Jr.; parents Mary Esther and Lemon Randle; and brothers Melvin Lewis and Carl Lee Randle. She will be missed by her daughter Tonye Cox-Miller and her husband, James; son Ned Cox III and his wife, Pamela; granddaughter Tanya Wallace and her husband, Robert; 2 sons 1 daughter; granddaughter Tiffany Nealy and her husband, Barrick; 2 sons 1 daughter; grandson Ned Cox IV and his wife, Summer; 1 daughter; and granddaughter Cydni Cox. She will also be missed by her brother Lawrence Randle; sister’s Jean Willrich, Louise Ellison, Gloria Ladson, Joyce Johnson, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other family, and friends.
