Obituary for Raymond Eddie Frederick

Raymond Ed Frederick "Eddie" was born on January 21, 1959 in Goliad, Texas. He was the fifth child of seven children born to Colonel (U.S. Army, Retired) Austin, Sr., and Barbara Frederick. As a military dependent, he traveled with his family to overseas and state side assignments.

In 1977, Eddie graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas. After graduation, Eddie attended San Antonio College. During college, Eddie was employed by Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) at Kelly AFB, Texas. During his 35+ plus years of civil service, his assignments included Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and Osan Air Base, Korea.

Since 2012, Eddie was a member of the Songtan-SI Pool League in South Korea and would place in various pool tournaments. In addition, Eddie was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Eddie enjoyed playing basketball, fishing along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and playing golf on many courses in Korea and throughout the United States.

"Still On the Journey" Eddie was preceded in death by two brothers, Delree Frederick and Kevin Christopher Frederick; and one sister Fannie W. Frederick.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, three sons: Justin Mills of Goliad, Texas, Brandon Mills of Lubbock, Texas and Anthony Frederick of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Tiffany Mills of Prairie View, Texas; one brother, Austin (Sallie) Frederick of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Audrey Ann Frederick of San Antonio, Texas and Tammie (Walter) Smiley of Washington, D.C.; one uncle, Don Houck of Goliad, Texas; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
