Obituary for Nora Brown

Nora Lee Anderson -Brown began her earthly journey, July 24, 1923 and commenced her heavenly journey, February 5, 2018. Being the fourth child born to Arthur and Annie Laurie (Griffin) Anderson in San Antonio, Texas, she was the baby of the family. Nora was welcomed by her sister, Veraline (Sister) and brothers, Arthur (Bubba) and George Conray Anderson.

Nora grew up in the "East End" and "Denver Heights" Communities. She attended Douglas Junior High and graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1941. She was united in marriage after high school to Eugene "T" Lump" Brown, becoming a military wife, traveling with him stateside. Nora spent over thirty years in San Bernardino, CA after his retirement.

Nora returned to San Antonio in 1990 after her retirement to live with her brother, Conray in the Lakeside Subdivision. She lived an abundant life, traveling often to San Bernardino and New York to visit her friends, spending time with her card club members and also traveling to Louisiana until she could no longer endure the trips. Her past times included watching the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys.

She united with E.T. Dixon United Methodist Church, April 27, 1997 and attended regularly, enjoying bible study, fellowshipping with church members and other activities until the summer of 2017 when her health became an issue.

Nora was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sisters and brothers, grand -niece and nephew, Angela and Charles Harris. She leaves to cherish her memory; her niece, Patricia Harris and family, nephews, James Eugene "Gene" Brown and Larry Wolford, cousin, George (Gwendolyn) Goggins, Columbia, Maryland, special friend, Flora (Flossie)Burke and many very special friends.
