Obituary for Carolyn Henderson

Carolyn La Mirle Henderson, 73, passed away on February 19, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas after a 2 year battle with cancer. Carolyn was born November 3, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Charles Wilbur Jackson Sr., and Minnie Ola Jackson.

Growing up in church, Carolyn received Christ at a very young age. She was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she served as a member until her passing. Carolyn graduated from Hilliard High School, in Bay City, Texas and went to attend Huston-Tillotson College in Austin, Texas.

Carolyn worked for Frost Bank in different departments to include collections until she retired. She loved to attend church, traveling, participating in gaming establishments in Texas, Louisiana, and Indiana, spending time with family and friends at her father's party house in Pleasanton, Texas.

She was preceded in Glory by her father, Charles Wilbur Jackson, Sr., mother, Minnie Ola Jackson, brother, Donnie Ray King, her son, Shawn Redditt and other beloved ones.

Carolyn is survived by her brother, Charles Wilbur Jackson, JR., sister-in-laws, Juanita Jackson and Grace King, the Phillips Family, Valencia, Timothy and Timothy, Jr., grandson, Shannon Brown, great-grand daughter, Shantrail Wynn, niece's Olymphia and Marquisha King and a host of other family and friends.
